Atelier Room 205 is located at the Beacon, New York community art project, called KUBE. It is platform for artists, including emerging artists, to continually create, teach, and present work to collectors, curators, and fellow artists. There are 50 studios in this repurposed high school for musicians, writers, sculptors, art printers and more.
Our Atelier was founded on the principles of representative, or classical painting and drawing skills. These are essential to any successful work of art. The studio is professionally organized and equipped for classes and workshops. You will find the atmosphere pleasing; high ceilings, extra-large windows and hardwood floors- the features of an old classroom.
Some examples of our activities are "Thursday Night Figure Drawing", monthly art talks, oil painting classes for all levels of experience, workshops for families, and workshops instructed by visiting professional artists.
Meet your fellow artists! It's a good feeling to develop your skills, and learn and share with other artists.
